Maciej Szwejda

I am a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. In 2001 I obtained the title of attorney-at-law at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-law in Poznań.
I also graduated from an MBA program offered by Poznań University of Economics and Business in partnership with Georgia State University in Atlanta (Poznań-Atlanta MBA Program), which I completed with honours in 2017.
Professional practice

I am a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. In 2001 I obtained the title of legal advisor at the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Poznań. Throughout my professional career I have provided legal services to businesses. These services have been multidimensional. Early in my professional career I worked as an in-house lawyer-specialist at medium-sized companies. Then, I headed legal departments of large corporations, including ones listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, such as Elektrim, Netia and Play. For many years I also provided services to entrepreneurs as an outside counsel, both directly and in the capacity of a representative of large law firms based in Poznań and Warsaw with which I cooperated (BWHS, GWW Legal).
I also graduated from an MBA program offered by Poznań University of Economics and Business in partnership with Georgia State University in Atlanta (Poznań-Atlanta MBA Program), which I completed with honours in 2017, defending a dissertation entitled “Managing Change in the Area of Human Resources in M&A Processes.” At present I cooperate with the above higher education institutions, delivering lectures as part of MBA programs based on my own original program “Elements of Law for Managers.” I am also the author of didactic materials for students of Poznań University of Economics and Business concerning managing change in M&A processes.
My comprehensive experience gained during my work as an in-house lawyer-specialist, an in-house lawyer-manager and an outside counsel, combined with the skills acquired during the MBA program, allows me to better understand business, its rules, the relationships between a company and its customers as well as the relationships between the particular departments of a company and the specificity of them working together. Thanks to this experience, combined with my legal expertise, I analyse the cases and projects not only from a lawyer’s point of view, but also from that of a businessman and a manager. My skills in this respect allow me to create solutions that meet the client’s business needs and make it possible to achieve the assumed economic goal within the framework of the applicable regulations.
I am a member of the Polish Association of Corporate Lawyers.
I am fluent in English and Italian and I also have advanced knowledge of Spanish.
